Fresh Eggs, Canning, Goats, Garden and more.

I know it has been a lot time since I posted.  I am not a very good blogger.  My family tends to take a lot of my time.  But I really want to share, so once again I am trying to blog more.  I hope I don't disappoint anyone.
We did so well on our garden this past summer, that I really wished I would have kept up with blogging.  But I will post a few things here and try to post more later.  I think what I will do is post pictures with captions for you to catch up.

This is the first goat, Snickers

This is Mary and Martha these two chickens stay close together.

My internet is messing up.  I will try to post more pictures later.  That is if anyone is even following us. lol

Starting our herbs

We started growing our herbs a couple of weeks ago.  I want a green house as soon as we move into the house. But until than, I decided to take the metal cake pans with the plastic lids and use those as small green houses.  We also used toliet paper rolls, cut in half and filled with soil for small started pots. We wrote on the toliet paper rolls so we know whats growing in them.  I want to share that the herbs are growing well and I can't wait to plant them into our herb garden.

The herbs we have planted.

The little green houses, and toliet paper rolls.

Writing what each little toliet paper roll has planted in it.
We cut the toliet paper roll in half, so we can get more out of one.

This is parsley and thyme.

Learning to Farm

We are a family of 10 with a dream to live off the land.  We want our children to learn to grow their food, raise chickens, milk goat or cow, and harvest the reward.  This has been a dream of ours to start a farm.  We were wanting more acres, but we will farm on God's gift of 3 acres.  We will pray for more, but starting out 3 will do.  We want to become as self-sufficient, and not have to depend on anyone other than God.  In this generation it is so easy to go to the store and buy food.  We want to know what's been put on our food, as well as in it.
We also have a passion for adoption and have adopted 6 children.  We hope that in the future God will bless us again through adoption.  There is a great need for loving parents, for the orphan.  If you are interested in how to get started, please email me.  I will be happy to share how God got us started.
I hope you enjoy our little family farm, here in the good state of Missouri.
